UPLift: Pleasure Shared

"I share your pain," we often say —
A friend stands side by side —
But pleasure shared, like children's play,
Swells the gladding tide.

What greater joy or deeper delight
Among the halls of man,
To share the key to human plight,
In God's salvation plan?

I saw this good poem on the bulletin gold digest and wanted to use it in our bulletin. (Harrison St. Church of Christ, Batesville, Arkansas) However, I'm wondering if the word, "gladding" was meant to be, "gladdening". I don't want to change it without your say-so. And, yes, I included the required message about the copyright. Would you like a copy of the bulletin with your poem? Send your address to the email included here and I will be happy to send it to you.
Hello, Sharon, thanks for chiming in. You're very welcome to use it. The word is as stands. http://www.thefreedictionary.com/gladding Would love to have a copy, yes. Please send it to your Forthright Press address: 607 Devine Street, Winona, MS 38967. If you prefer, I'd be happy with a PDF copy, less hassle that way. Can send to my email randal@fastmail.fm . Glad you found it useful.
Thank you. I wanted to be sure. On bulletin gold digest, there was an error in your email (no "dot" before the "com"), so I thought it a possibility that the missing "en" could also be an error. Then, I saw it on your blog (?) the same way, but still wanted to know for sure. Thank you for your kind response. I will be mailing you the paper bulletin. It's just easier for me that way. Plus, if you don't have publisher, it won't open. And to do a cut and paste of everything is just too much. I've got your envelope made out already, you should be seeing it soon. Thank you, Sharon Smith, secretary Harrison Street Church of Christ 1536 Harrison Street Batesville, AR 72501 870-793-3152 "If my people which are called by my name shall humble themselves, and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven and I will forgive their sin and I will heal their land." 2 Chronicles 7:14
Yup, Publisher is its own beast, though seems like more recent versions of LibreOffice (which I don't have) may open those files. Not sure of that, though. Typos are all too frequent, belonging to the same class of things as guppies and rabbits. Around my place, anyway. We'll be in the US in August, so we'll pick up our mail then. Thanks for your consideration in offering to send it.
